Digital Radios VHF – UHF

Radiocom S.A.S has long experience of more than 20 years partnering with the Northrop Grumman subsidiary company Park Air Systems, to install VHF radios across the Colombian territory.

The Park Air T6-TV transmitter, T6-RV receiver y T6-TRV transceiver offer a versatile range of software programmable radios that fulfil today's analogue needs and the growing demand for digital communications within the aerospace environment. Designed for long maintenance-free service, T6 radios are the optimum choice for professional ATC provision.

Aerodrome Control Tower

Radiocom S.A.S has over 10 years of experience in the installation of radio control consoles, and we have been working with the support of Italian Company SITTI.

The M800IP® MULTIFONO® Radio and Telephone Voice Communication System (VCS) represents SITTI state of the art top level Voice Over IP (VoIP) VCS system. It fully meets Air Traffic Control requirements by integrating the most advanced IP features and technologies, coupled with user-friendliness at all Operator and Maintenance levels.

Communications VCSS System

The MULTIPHONE® M800IP® has been designed to achieve the strictest level of Reliability, Availability and Maintenance (RAM). To achieve this goal, all equipment components have been selected based on their intrinsic performance in reliability, while the fundamental design principles outlined below have been applied to the entire VCS system.

Digital Recording Systems

This is a solution for recording different files which in a single platform is able not only to record but also to play audio analog / digital, VoIP, screen images DVI and VGA, CCTV, IP cameras, LAN radar, radar asynchronous serial and other data, which will help investigations aswell as rescue operations.

Intrument Landing System

Radiocom S.A.S has long experience installing ILS system, and we partner with the Norwegian company Normac, which has a long tradition with specialized communications equipment and ATC. We have experience installing ILS system in several airports in the Colombian territory, such as: Calí, Quibdo, Pasto, Bucaramanga and Cucuta.

The instrument landing system (ILS) is the support system for the approach and landing, established by ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) as the standard worldwide. An instrument landing system is a ground-based instrument approach system that provides precision guidance to an aircraft approaching and landing on a runway, using a combination of radio signals and, in many cases, high-intensity lighting arrays to enable a safe landing during instrument meteorological conditions (IMC), such as low ceilings or reduced visibility due to fog, rain, or blowing snow.

Distance Measuring Equipment

Radiocom S.A.S works with the support of the American Corporation Moog for the DME equipment installation. Radiocom installed the DME of Rionegro airport, Jose María Cordoba, and during the last trimester of 2013 installed the DME of Barranquilla Airport, Ernesto Cortizo.

Distance measuring equipment (DME) is a transponder-based radio navigation technology that measures slant range distance by timing the propagation delay of VHF or UHF radio signals. Aircraft use DME to determine their distance from a land-based transponder by sending and receiving pulse pairs – two pulses of fixed duration and separation.VHF omnidirectional radio range (VOR), is a type of short-range radio navigation system for aircraft, enabling aircraft to determine their position and stay on course by receiving radio signals transmitted by a network of fixed ground radio beacons, with a receiver unit. It uses radio frequencies in the very high frequency (VHF) band from 108 to 117.95 MHz.

DVOR

Vor is a type s a type of short-range radio navigation system for aircraft, enabling aircraft to determine their position and stay on course by receiving radio signals transmitted by a network of fixed ground radio beacons, with a receiver unit. It uses radio frequencies in the very high frequency (VHF) band from 108 to 117.95 MHz.

Surface Surveillance System

The Surface Surveillance System is an integrated system control of airport surface traffic that provides routing, guidance and surveillance to the tower control, supervising the aircraft and vehicles on the runway.

Aeronautical Message Handling System

ATS Message Handling System (AMHS), also known as Aeronautical Message Handling System, is a standard for aeronautical ground to ground communications (e.g. for the transmission of NOTAM, Flight Plans or Meteorological Data) based on X.400 profiles.
